Gibbs to miss rest of campaign

Left-back Gibbs, 20, suffered a depressed open fracture to his first metatarsal on his left foot during Arsenal's Champions League match against Standard Liege November.
The fracture failed to heal satisfactorily and Gibbs will now have a bone graft to help ensure a full recovery which will keep the youngster out for about five months.

"Needless to say I'm gutted - there's just no other word," said Gibbs.
"The other option to surgery would have been to wait and let the bone grow in my foot, but we didn't want to do that because I'd have to wait another six weeks just to have another scan.
"I'd run the risk of it carrying on into next season, and we don't want to do that.
"I'm now just looking to recover from the injury, work really hard and be ready for next season."
Gunners manager Arsene Wenger will at least have back-up for first-choice Gael Clichy in French youngster Armand Traore.

O'Shea out for the season

The Republic of Ireland international has been dealt the blow after suffering complications with a dead leg.
The injury is more severe than first expected after O'Shea experienced discomfort in the Republic of Ireland's World Cup play-off defeat by France in November.

Ferguson said: "He's got a terrible injury at the moment. It's one of those sorts of injuries that are unusual. It's like a dead leg except a dead leg is usually only three or four days.
"The problem is that the blood clot became all knotted and when it gets knotted you get calcification so therefore it's a long process to clear that up and he'll probably miss the season now.
"It's a bad blow for the boy and for the team because he can play anywhere."
O'Shea has not played for United since the 1-0 away defeat to Barclays Premier League title rivals Chelsea on 8th November. Ferguson will continue to call on Wes Brown and Rafael Da Silva to act as cover for the 28-year-old.

Wolves swoop for Mujangi

The highly-rated Belgian international becomes manager Mick McCarthy's first signing of the January transfer window.
Mujangi, 20, has joined on loan from RSC Charleroi with an option for Wolves to make the deal permanent in the summer.

He was at the club last weekend to watch Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Wigan Athletic in the Barclays Premier League, and having been training with the team has now completed a medical.
He could feature in Saturday's FA Cup tie with Crystal Palace subject to the club receiving international clearance in time.
"We've very pleased to have signed Geoffrey," McCarthy told the club's official website.
"He's a player who we have been tracking for a while and will add some creativity and firepower to our squad.
"He's an attacking midfielder who can play on the right or the left as well as centrally."
Mujangi, who will take squad number 25, can also play as a striker and has notched seven goals in 48 appearances in the Belgian First Division with Charleroi.
He has also struck twice in six matches for the Belgian under-21 team prior to graduating to senior honours, his debut against Chile last May the first of two caps won so far.
"I first heard about the interest a couple of weeks ago and am very happy to have signed," said Mujangi.
"I've played in England once before with Belgium under-21s and it's been my dream to play in the Premier League.
"It was good to meet the manager this week and I'm looking forward to playing for him."
Mujangi could be available to make his Barclays Premier League debut in Tuesday's match with Liverpool at Molineux.
